Edinburgh

 

 I was lucky. Dear friends I’d missed for years had just moved back to

Edinburgh and offered to put me up. When I arrived, I couldn’t believe
my good fortune: their spacious top floor flat looked out on the truly
magnificent Edinburgh Castle. The down side… I had to climb up 69 steps
to get there.
